Synthesis and Characterization of Conducting Copper Sulfide Surfaces on Textile Fibers .2.
Electrically conducting poly(acrylonitrile)-based fibres have been prepared by binding conducting copper sulphide coatings to suitable substrate fibres. The electronically conductive surface coatings predominantly contained a metal excess copper(I) sulphide phase. The physical and chemical requirements for the preparation of copper sulphide-modified fibres with the highest conductivities are discussed.
