Proton Conduction in Salt-Ceramic Composite Systems
Oxyacid salt-ceramic composite systems are a new type of solid protonic conducting system, where both cations and protons are mobile. Proton conduction of the order of 10(-2)S/cm have been obtained in the temperature range 300-600 degrees C. Two different proton co-ordination states and conduction mechanisms have been recognised and suggested for this system.
