Thermoelectric-Power of Stabilized Zirconia
is shown how the thermoelectric power of an oxide with pure oxide ion vacancy conduction can be derived. The result differs somewhat from earlier works on the same subject. Measurements of the thermoelectric power of yttria-stabilized zirconia at 1000 degrees C were performed as a function of dopant concentration. The results of the measurement are presented together with literature data. They are found to be in acceptable agreement with the presented theory.
