Electrochemical properties and structure of Ni(OH)(2)-graphite intercalation compounds
Nickel hydroxide-graphite intercalation compounds (Ni(OH)(2)-GICs) was synthesized in this work. The structure and electrochemical behavior was studied with different techniques. It was found that the electron exchange number of Ni(OH)(2)-GICs can be up to two per mole Ni(OH)(2). The formation of Ni(OH)(2)-GICs not only increases the capacity of Ni(OH)(2), but also improves the electrochemical performance of active material Ni(OH)(2).
