Studies on the Nonisothermal Kinetics of Thermal-Decomposition of the Complex of Europium P-Methylbenzoate with 2,2’-Dipyridine
Thermal decomposition of the complex of europium p-methylbenzoate with 2,2’-dipyridine and its kinetics were studied under the non-isothermal condition by TG and DTG techniques. The non-isothermal kinetic data were analyzed by means of the Achar method and the Coats-Redfern method. The possible reaction mechanisms were suggested by comparing the kinetic parameters. The kinetic equation for the first stage can be expressed as : d alpha/dt = A exp(-E/RT) 3/2(1 + alpha)(2/3) [(1 + alpha)(1/3) - 1](-1), while for the third stage, d alpha/dt = A exp(-E/RT)(1-alpha). Mathematic expressions were derived from the kinetic compensation effects.
