A Thermogravimetric Study of the Stability and Reduction of the Precursors for Mercury-Based Superconductors
The precursor powders of the Ba2Can-1CunO2n+1+delta (n=1, 2, 3) are prepared by sol-gel route. The stability and thermal behaviour of these oxides during vacuum calcination has been investigated. The suitability of the obtained samples for the synthesis of Hg-based high-T-C superconductors as well as a preparative peculiarities of their synthesis are discussed.
