Influence of the Surface Pressure of Langmuir-Blodgett-Films on the Efficiency of Organic Electroluminescence
Organic electroluminescence (EL) devices were fabricated with 8-hydroxyquinoline Zinc (Znq2) as the EL-emitting layer deposited onto the surface of poly( methylmethacrylate) (PMMA) Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films (Znq2/PMMA) prepared at various surface pressures. These organic layers were sandwiched between indium tin oxide (ITO) and aluminum electrodes. Evidence suggests that the surface pressure influences the current density of the Znq2/PMMA device as well as the EL intensity and efficiency.
