P-D Hybridization of the Valence Bands in Chalcopyrite Laser-Deposited Cu(in, Ga) Se-2 Thin-Films
The absorption spectra of the highly oriented laser-deposited Cu(In, Ga)Se-2 (CIGS) films obtained from the calculation of the optical constants using data of the interferential reflectance and transmittance have been analyzed on the basis of the quasicubic model of p-d hybridization of uppermost valence bands in chalcopyrite compounds. Tetragonal crystal-field splitting (Delta(cf)), spin-orbit splitting (Delta(so)), optical transitions from copper d-levels admired to p-levels of chalcogene and the values of hybridization have been determined for CIGS films.
