The full-length paper discusses in detail the completion design for a 425degreesF bottomhole temperature (BHT), 18,000-psi bottomhole pressure (BHP) well in the East Lost Hills field as well as four actual completions. These extreme well conditions required very detailed completion engineering design, equipment qualification, and precise field execution to achieve successful well completions. The project emphasized the importance of positive interaction between each member of the well construction, production operations, and reservoir management groups.
