Use of neural networks as a tuning method for an adaptive PID -Application in a heat exchanger
In this paper the application of a classical IMC and an IMC with modifications to a heat exchanger, is described. Here the authors suggest that the perfect controller used in the WIC system was substituted for an adaptive PID adjusted to a neural network. The heat exchanger is analysed and this paper demonstrates how, with cheaper availability of neural hardware, an efficient and intelligent controller can be designed.
