Structure of CAPE teaching module in Bradford University
Many leading industrialists (Benson, 1992) believe that CAFE (Computer Aided Process Engineering) is an absolute necessity to survival in the coming decades. Training staff to run and maintain a chemical plant without ever visiting the site may soon be possible (Chemistry in Britain, 1997). Increasing demands for graduates with sound understanding and competence in using computational tools in process engineering leads to the development of CAFE course in most universities world-wide. This paper looks into the structure of the CAFE module at Bradford. We believe the ESCAPE meeting will give us the opportunity to discuss the content of the course with academic and industrial colleagues from all over the world and to further develop the course.
