Thermodynamics of the selective hydrogenation of carbon monoxide to higher aliphatic alcohols
The effect of initial concentrations of substrates, temperature and pressure on the conversion degrees of carbon oxide to aliphatic alcohols C-1-C-4 at the chemical equilibrium state was described. From the results obtained it can be seen that propyl and butyl alcohols are the main products at the chemical equilibrium, with butanol dominating, whereas methyl and ethyl alcohols exist only in trace concentrations.
