Raman spectral profiles of folded longitudinal modes in SiC under off-resonant condition
Raman intensity profiles of folded longitudinal optic and acoustic modes in SiC polytypes have been examined under off resonant condition. The Raman bands for the folded longitudinal modes are weak except for the modes corresponding to phonon modes at the Gamma point in the 3C polytype. The spectral features of these modes are interpreted based on the bond Raman polarizability model taking into account the stacking dependence:of the bond Raman polarizability.
