Technological principles of cumene oxidation to cumene hydroperoxide and its purification have been presented. Issues of waste formation, mainly phenol tars, way of its disposal as well as the use of cumene hydroperoxide to propylene epoxidation has been discussed. Flow chart of the integrated production process of propylene oxide, phenol, and acetone is presented.
