Lattice-assisted proton motion in perovskite oxides
A new interpretation of properties of high-temperature protonic conductors based on the proton polaron idea is proposed. Mobility of protons in these materials is viewed as a result of phonon-activated jumps. A comparison with the experimental data is made. It follows that the proton polaron effect can be really large enough in these perovskite-structured solid solutions.
