The effect of the agitation rate, feeding time, initiation rate and latex viscosity on coagulum formation in the emulsion copolymerization of styrene and butyl acrylate under industrial-like conditions was investigated. The results were analyzed using computational fluid dynamics to simulate the how pattern in the reactor.
