The world's power plant industries are characterised by saturated markets in industrialised countries and growing demand in developing countries. This contrast leads to opportunities for the transfer of technology and know-how. For the perspectives of individual enterprises and entire branches it is an important matter in what proportion and velocity this potential will be realised. The article assesses the repercussion of technology transfer on production and employment in Germany and Europe.
