Constrained linear quadratic optimal control of chemical processes
In this paper, we address the constrained infinite horizon linear quadratic optimal control (CIHLQOC) of chemical processes. Employing the exponential bound of the closed loop system trajectory that can be computed off-line from the exponential stability properties, it was shown that a finite dimensional quadratic program equivalent to the CIHLQOC problem without any on-line optimization. This technique is illustrated with a chemical reactor example.
