The mechanism of action of antiknock compounds in gasolines
The classic model of the antiknock action of organic compounds of different structure is based on the experimentally established correlation of their antiknock value and oxidation rate. Despite the patent limitation and inconsistency of this model, serious attempts to critically examine the different aspects of the mechanism of the antiknock action of different compounds have not been made for several decades.
