Operative-efficient soft-material compensators for gas turbine plants
Gas turbines cause in the waste gas range - depending on the rating and the mode of operation - high temperatures up to about 650 degrees C. With it are combined thermal expansions in all directions of the topping waste gas ducts. For the stress-poor acceptance of such elongations at undiminished tightness especially soft-material. compensators have proved worthwhile recently. The further development of the gas turbine has required, however, flow cross-sections in an unusual size up to now, to which, the compensator had to adapt. With this jump in size; the soft-material compensator has almost totally superseded the metal compensator predominant up to now.
