Efficiency increase in fossil-fired steam power plants by converting them into combined plants
This paper reports on concepts with gas turbines for supporting existing fossil-fired power plants. Some fundamental possibilities of combining gas turbines with existing steam processes are shown, as well as first ideas on advantages and drawbacks are conceived. Thereby, two plants, for which commission for retrofitting was given in recent years, serve as examples.
