The cost-effectiveness of power stations with gas turbines are essentially determined by the developments in gas turbine engineering. The new gas turbine generation of the 2A/3A-models, developed by Siemens in co-operation with Pratt and Whitney, are supposed to enable in gas-and-steam power stations total efficiencies of up to 60 % till the end of the decade.
