An unusual metal-mediated formation of an asymmetrical carboxylate-bridged dinuclear copper(II) complex
The asymmetrical dinuclear copper complex 3(Cu,Cu) was yielded by a copper-mediated ligand rearrangement and ester hydrolysis of the trinuclear complex Cu[2(Cu)](2). The precursor H-2(Cu), the trinuclear copper complex Cu[2(Cu)](2), and dinuclear complex 3(Cu,Cu) have been characterized by X-ray crystallography and temperature dependent magnetic susceptibility measurements.
