Syntheses, structures and magnetic behaviors of di- and trinuclear pivalate complexes containing both cobalt(II) and lanthanide(III) ions
The syntheses and X-ray structures of the di- and trinuclear pivalates [C9H7NH][CoTb(Piv)(3)(C9H7N)-(NO3)(3)]. 0.5H(2)O, [CoLn(Piv)(3)(C9H7N)(H2O)]. 0.5C(9)H(7)N (Ln = Gd, Dy), and [Co2Gd(Piv)(6)(C9H7N)(2)(NO3)] (Piv = O2CCMe3) are reported. The four complexes all exhibit weak ferromagnetic interactions between their corresponding heterometallic ions.
