Reactions of [M(OEP)(OTf)] (M = Fe or Cr, OEP = octaethylporphyrinate, OTf = triflate) with [Re(N-2)(PMe2Ph)(4)Cl] afford [(OEP)M(N-2)Re(PMe2Ph)(4)Cl] [OTf]. The structure of the heterometallic Fe/Re dinitrogen complex has been established by X-ray crystallography.
