Syntheses and structures of bis(azido)- and bis(tert-butoxy)cyclodistibazanes
Treatment of the dichlorocyclodistibazane [ClSb(mu -N-t-Bu)(2)SbCl] with alkali-metal azides or tert-butoxides afforded trans-[N3Sb(mu -(NBu)-Bu-t)(2)SbN3] and trans-[Bu-l- OSb(mu -(NBu)-Bu-t)(2)(SbOBu)-Bu-t], respectively. These data and other evidence suggest that [ClSb(mu -(NBu)-Bu-t)(2)SbCl], contrary to previous assumptions, is a trans isomer also. [GRAPHICS]
