공기분위기하에서의 석탄타르핏치의 열처리
Heat Treatment of Coal Tar Pitch under Air Blowing
초록
석탄타르핏치를 350-400℃의 온도에서 180분까지 공기분위기하에서 열처리하여 생성된 핏치의 용해도, 원소분석, 광학적 조직 등을 조사하였다. 각 열처리 온도에서 열처리 시간이 90분 이상에서는 용해도와 C/H 비는 거의 일정하였으며, 동일 처리 시간에서는 열처리 온도가 높을수록 톨루엔 불용분 및 C/H비가 높았다. 이 온도영역에서 메조페이스는 생성되지 않았으며 광학적 조직은 톨루엔 불용분이 20wt% 이상, C/H비가 1.7이상일 때 잠재적 이방성 특성을 나타내었다. 또한 위의 시료는 결합재를 사용하지 않고 탄소성형체를 제조할 수 있는 원료로 이용할 수 있었다.
Coal tar pitch was heat treated in the temperature range of 350-400℃ under air blowing conditions and their properties such as solubility, C/H ratio, and optical texture were characterized. Solubility and C/H ratio were not varied by the heat treatment time over 90min at each heat treatment temperature and higher toluene insoluble fraction and C/H ratio were obtained as heat treatment temper-ature increased at the given treatment time. The heat treated pitch had the dormant mesophase proper-ty when the toluene insoluble fraction was higher than 20wt% and C/H ratio higher than 1.7. Prepara-tion of carbon solids without a binder could be achieved using these pitches.
