Tracer studies of high-shear granulation: I. Experimental results
Previous work has shown that attempts to determine the rates of processes active divino, granulation inevitably confound the effects of granule age and size; since as an experiment progresses, both the age and size of granules increases. In the current work tracer experiments have been developed, and verified, to unconfound those effects. Qualitative analysis of the tracer data shows that granule breakage is occurring at a significant rate and that the breakage, or selection rate, appears to depend on granule age, but not on granule size.
