Foams and froths are an important factor for the operation of many industrial processes. The study of foams and froths is thus important if these processes are to be better understood and controlled. This paper gives a review of some of the physical modeling of foams and froths that has taken place over the last 130 years. It concentrates mainly on the problem of liquid motion within a froth, but also makes mention of some of the geometric aspects of foam structure.
