The paper gives an overview on modem trends in developing new catalytic technologies to use nuclear, nontraditional and renewable sources of energy, to produce mechanical or electrical energy from the energy of chemical energy carriers, as well as to recover middle or low-potential heat wastes and temperature gradients.
