Characterization of heterogeneous catalysts by X-ray diffraction techniques
Application of X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD) in heterogeneous catalysis is described. Some general aspects of the background of the technique are briefly mentioned, together with the recent advances regarding Rietveld analysis. Examples of application of XRPD are reported, concerning solid materials frequently used in heterogeneous catalysis (metal oxides and zeolites).
