Spectra of rare gas hydrides .6. The 4f complex and the electronic structure of KrD
The complete rotational analysis of the 4f((2) Phi,(2) Delta,(2) Pi,(2) Sigma(+)) --> 4d(2) Delta (6600 cm(-1)), 4f(2 Phi,2 Delta,(2) Pi,(2) Sigma(+)) --> 4d(2) Pi(8500 cm(-1)), and 4d(2) Delta --> 5p(2) Pi(7100 cm(-1)) Rydberg electronic transitions of KrD is reported, The two newly observed states, the doublet 4f complex and 4d(2) Delta together with the np((2) Pi,(2) Sigma(+)),nd(2) Sigma(+),ns(2) Sigma(+), and nd(2) Pi studied earlier by Dabrowski et al., [Mol. Phys. 63, 269 (1988)], and by Dabrowski and Sadovskii [Mol. Phys. 81, 291 (1994], form a set of states which permits the whole Rydberg electronic structure of the molecule to be determined from the experimental data. (C) 1997 American Institute of Physics.
