AN UNDEREXPLOITED SOURCE OF SMALLER ALPHA-PEPTIDES
A simple method for the extraction and purification of small alpha-peptides from the young leaves of Azadirachta indica was developed using a Dowex-50 column. This would act as a cost-effective alternative for the isolation of alpha-peptides having less than six amino acids. The presence of such alpha-peptides was also recorded in the young leaves of eight other plants.
