Solubility of organic acids in ethyl acetate expanded with CO2
The solubility of tetradecanoic acid, stearic acid, and behenic acid in ethyl acetate expanded with CO2 was determined at 308.15 K and 318.15 K in the pressure range from 2.5 to 8 MPa. The solubility of the solutes decreases with pressure and carbon number of the solutes, and increases with temperature. The mole fraction of CO2 in the liquid phase increases with pressure and decreases with temperature, and it also depends on the carbon number of the solutes.
