Solubilities of 2,3-dimethylanilin and 3-nitrotoluol in supercritical carbon dioxide
The solubilities of 2,3-dimethylanilin and 3-nitrotoluol in supercritical carbon dioxide have been measured in the pressure range from 8 to 20 MPa using a flow phase equilibrium apparatus at temperatures of 303, 313 and 323 K. The measured solubilities exhibit a clear dependence on the solvent density and have been correlated with the reduced density of the pure solvent and with the model proposed by Chrastil. These models show good agreement with the experimental data but the average absolute relative deviation (AARD) is clearly less when the model of Chrastil is considered.
