Solubility of alpha-tetralol in pure carbon dioxide and in a mixed solvent formed by ethanol and carbon dioxide
Experimental results are reported for the solubility of alpha -tetralol (1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-1-naphtol) in pure supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO2) and in a mixed solvent formed by CO2 and ethanol at four temperatures ranging from 303.15 to 333.15 K. The solubilities were measured in a high pressure, variable-volume view cell. In a second step, our data were correlated with the Peng-Robinson equation of state (PR-EOS) in which the binary interaction parameters were temperature dependent.
