Vapor-liquid equilibria of the binary mixtures of tetrahydrofuran with 2,2,4-trimethylpentane, methylcyclohexane and n-heptane at 101.3 kPa
Vapor-liquid equilibrium (VLE) data have been measured at 101.3 kPa for three binary mixtures of tetrahydrofuran with 2,2,4-trimethylpentane, methylcyclohexane and n-heptane. The isobaric T-x-y data have been reported and the thermodynamic consistency has been examined. The non-ideal behavior of the vapor phase has been considered by using the Soave-Redlich-Kwong (SRK) equation of state in calculating the fugacity coefficient. The Wilson, NRTL and UNIQUAC activity coefficient models have been employed to correlate the experimental VLE data. The correlation results are satisfactory and the optimally fitted binary parameters of various activity coefficient models are presented.
