Determination of the standard molar Gibbs free energies of formation of the silicates of cobalt and nickel by solid-state galvanic cells involving the CaF2-based composite electrolyte
The standard molar Gibbs free energies of formation of Co2SiO4 and Ni2SiO4 have been determined by solid-state galvanic cells in the temperature range 823 K to 1273 K. Calcium fluoride-based composite containing SiO2 (mole fraction x = 0.05) was applied as a solid electrolyte. The results were compared with those obtained by other authors.
