Enthalpies of formation of crystalline dimethyldithiocarbamate complexes of chromium(III) and iron(III): the estimation of the mean M-S bond-dissociation enthalpies
The standard (p(o) = 0.1 MPa) molar enthalpies of formation of crystalline dimethyldithiocarbamate complexes of Cr(III) and Fe(III) were determined, at the temperature 298.15 K, by solution-reaction calorimetry. From these values, and estimated values for the standard enthalpies of sublimation of the complexes, the mean molar bond-dissociation enthalpies (D-m)(M-S) were estimated. [GRAPHICS]
