Geometric quantization of curvature energy in equipotential surfaces of ionic crystals
The curvature energies of triply periodic minimal surfaces (TPMS) and zero equipotential surfaces (ZEPS) of ionic crystals are both quantized with the Euler-Poincare characteristic as the "quantum number," and the curvature energy of the TPMS larger than that of the corresponding ZEPS. Quantization is imposed by the charge-defined metric.
