KOH 활성화에 의한 커피활성탄의 제조
Preparation of activated coffee char by KOH activation
The coffee waste is a kind of biomass resources. Activated carbon was prepared from coffee waste by chemical activation with Potassium Hydroxide. The following processes were carried out; roasting step, carbonization step and chemical activation or physical activation step. The roasting step of coffee waste was carried out at 350 ~ 450 ℃. The carbonization step was carried out at 650 ℃, 1hr under no air. As a result of chemical activation, the most important parameter in chemical activated carbon was found to be chemical ratio of activation agents. N2-BET surface areas and total pore volume of activated carbon prepared by chemical activation using KOH were measured as about 2023 ~ 2442 m(2)/g and 0.99 ~ 1.19 cm(3)/g, respectively.
