Treatment of the aged landfill leachate using electrolysis process was investigated. In this study, electrode material, electrode distance, current density, electrolyte concentration, and pH value were experimented to remove the organic and inorganic pollutants in landfill leachate. In study of current efficiencies of electrode materials, Al/C electrodes were more effective than Fe/C electrodes to treat a landfill leachate, and suitable current density to treat an aged landfill leachate was investigated with 20 mA/cm(2).
