Formulation of Non Solvent Type Thermally Curable Glare/non-Glare Coating Agent with Antistatic Function
A thermally curable coating composition with anti-static function(Ultramer 5530) was synthesized. It was 4th ammonium salt which has long chain alkyl group. Anti-static coating agent was formulated with Ultramer 5530 and glare/or non-glare water soluble resins. The additive amounts of Ultramer 5530 was varied from 5 to 20 wt% based on the amount of resin. A thermally curable coating was performed with PVC floor at temperature ranges 80 ~ 150 ℃. Results showed that electric resistance(Ω) of PVC floor decreased as the amount of Ultramer 5530 increased. However. physical properties of coating layer, especially hardness and adhesion, was getting worse over 8 wt% addition of Ultramer 5530, due to the surface migration of coating agent. The surface migration was removed when the curing temperature was over 100 ℃.
