ZnCl2 활성화에 의한 활성탄의 제조
Preparation of Activated Carbon by ZnCl2-activation
This work was conducted to prepared Activated carbon from pepper-seed by chemical activation with ZnCl2. The preparation process was carried out by roasting, carbonization, chemical activation, washing, and dry. Roasting process was conducted at 300 ~ 400 ℃ for 20 min; carbonization was at 600 ℃ for 1hr; activation was at 750 ℃ for 1hr. BET surface area was measured as about 1045 ~ 1765 m(2)/g. Total pore volume and average pore radius were determined as about 0.51 ~ 1.32 cm(3)/g and 21-25 Å, respectively. High-quality activated carbon was successfully prepared from pepper-seed by chemical activation with zinc chloride.
