Influence of liquid viscosity and bed porosity on two-phase pressure drop in concurrent gas-liquid upflow through packed beds
It was observed in the experimental investigations that the concurrent upflow of air-Monoethanol amine system through the packed bed gave higher pressure drop in bubble flow regime than the air-water system. But when the flow regime changed to spray flow, air-water system showed higher pressure drop than the other. This phenomenon was observed for the two column packing used in this study. An attempt is made to explain this phenomenon.
