In a continuation of the reviews in [1, 2], materials published in the last five years of the 20(th) century, are examined. Journal publications, patents, reports, and other communications concerning the evolution and use of fuel additives are used as sources. The world patent situation in this area and the basic trends in recent years, especially those relating to our country, are examined.
