Modeling of Chemical Soil Washing Using Micellization
Soil washing using ordinary surfactant was modelled in a packed bed with micelle solubilization and adsorption kinetics. The simulated results show that contaminant removal with fed-batch feeding was greater than that with continous feeding, thus indicating the same trend as observed in experiments. The difference in removal efficiency between surfactants was not clear due to absence of reasonable values of experimental parameters.
