An erroneous illustrative example in the published paper which proposes the 'corrected' version of the describing function approach, is pointed out and corrected. A revealing property of the proposed version of the describing function is indicated. The implication of this property is also discussed in the oscillation analysis of feedback systems with memory-type non-linearities. The property identifies the case where the 'corrected' describing function leads to an incorrect conclusion when used in the oscillation analysis.
