Peculiarities of time dependence of the current-current correlation function
The similarity and difference in the behavior of the current-current correlation function (CCCF) and the velocity correlation function of a molecule are discussed in detail. It is shown that the oscillations and long-time decay of the transversal and longitudinal components of CCCF are explained naturally within the Lagrange theory of thermal hydrodynamic fluctuations.
