The possible abiogenic origin of oil and gas
One possible way of formation of natural hydrocarbons is examined based on concepts concerning the composition of flow of maiter from the interior of the Earth and the reaction potential of a mixture of methane and sulfur, the components of fluids. The reaction of endogenous methane and sulfur could be the initial stage of condensation transformations that led to the appearance of natural hydrocarbon systems and especially crude oil.
